STORY | MISSION | VISION
Fascination, enthusiasm, astonishment. Personally, no other genre triggers stronger emotions in us than documentary films. It’s about real stories that touch us so much for that very reason. It does not matter whether we are allowed to look into a world that is unknown to us, or to discover a new perspective of our own world. As viewers and filmmakers, our passion has been documentary formats right from the start.
FILMKULTUR wants to offer a platform for particularly socially relevant topics. We want to promote diversity and respectful interaction. Create mutual understanding, initiate critical discussions and strengthen a sense of responsibility. Documentary film can do all of this. We are convinced.
The more important it is to bring stories from all over the world to the audience. Told by people from all over the world.

That's what FILMKULTUR stands for - from personal conviction
Courage
Trust, respect, openness – all of our values require courage. Courage is the prerequisite for acting according to these values.
Respect
The basis for justice and fairness is a respectful way of dealing with each other. This includes humans, animals and nature alike.
Honesty
We understand sincerity as the foundation for trust. It is our base where we face the world.
Diversity
Diversity is what defines us. Our society as a whole and each individual for himself. We want to promote this understanding.
Empathy
The ability to empathize with other individuals and situations expands our horizons and enriches our lives.
Openness
Only with sincere interest, curiosity and an open eye we can really recognize and accept opportunities.
Responsibility
For fellow humans, for animals, for the environment, for decisions for words – we take responsibility. We act consciously.
Farsightedness
We consider the effects of our actions with a view to the future. We want to shape our life in the moment in a sustainable way.
Reliability
We see reliability as a prerequisite for long-term relationships. As a reliable partner, we make careful decisions.

Documentary film is multifaceted. And it can be. However, the many different interpretations of the genre and the lack of transparency are increasingly weakening the confidence of the audience. On the other hand, the basic trust in documentary formats is underestimated. I wish that we counteract this trend together. For the love of documentaries. I want to contribute to this with FILMKULTUR.

Regardless of whether a documentary draws attention to grievances, discusses opinions or shows utopias, it leaves the viewer with impulses that can influence their future actions. I see our films as a contribution to a responsible and equal global society, that may be a little bit better tomorrow than we know it today.
